Saint Patrick Catholic Church record for marriage to Lillian shows name was Joseph Alfred Taylor (Terrien) with baptism on Feb. 16, 1859 at St. George, Ill, and recorded at St. Rose in Kankakee, Ill. The family changed to Taylor some time after 1870 and before 1880.

Alfred Taylor, 94, a teamster at Momence years ago before his retirement died at 2:50 p.m. today at his home, 103 Market St., where he had lived the past 52 years. Mr. Taylor was born Feb. 15, 1858, at Momence. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lillian Taylor and sisters, Mrs. Nattie Smith and Mrs. Della Barrie of Chicago. Mr. Taylor had been married three times previously and all three wives preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Church with the Rev. John Kelly officiating. Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Canaday-Boos Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. - Kankakee Daily Journal, June 25, 1952.
