Funeral services were held Saturday in St. Peter's church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Raymond Miller officiated at the services and interment was in St. Mary's cemetery, Mayville.
Mrs. Mies was born Aug. 26, 1872, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kasper Hoffman. She was married Apr. 16, 1901 to Joseph Mies in this city. She had resided on a farm near Mayville for many years and moved to Beaver Dam in 1926.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. George Oakley of Edgerton; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Schwartz of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Henrietta Jeske of Fond du Lac; one brother, Ted Hoffman of this city. Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
