Funeral services for Joanna Alice Rogers Worrell, 90, of Hattiesburg and formerly of Tchula will be held from the Tchula Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9 with Rev. Lorance Frost officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery with Southern Funeral Home of Lexington in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Worrell was a retired homemaker and a native of Holmes County. She was a member of the Tchula Baptist Church and the widow of Frederick Clifton Worrell, Sr.
Mrs. Worrell is survived by one son, Malcolm Howard Worrell of Beaumont, Texas; three daughters, Marjorie Miller of Gulfport, Lola Emmeline Ware of Jackson and Miriam Worrell Vance of Hattiesburg; one brother, James Alfred Rogers of Paducah, Kentucky; one sister, Susie Rogers Stewart of McComb; 26 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
