At the age of nine months, she moved with her parents to Nebraska, settling four and one-half miles east of McCool, where she grew to young womanhood. In 1896 she was united in marriage to Herman Dittman and moved to Burress.
To this union nine children were born, Mrs. Lillie Misner of Gering, Lloyd Dittman of Seward, William Dittman of Hayward, Cal., Harlan Dittman of Gering, Albert Dittman of Scottsbluff and Evelyn Dittman of Walton. Two sons, with their father preceded her in death.
In 1905 she moved with her family to Fairmont, where she resided a number of years. In 1925 she was united in marriage to John B. Walcott and had since made her home in Scottsbluff.
She leaves her husband, seven children, twenty-five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Fiedler of Geneva and Mrs. Emma Myers of Twin Falls, Idaho; a brother, Charles Ebbeka of Carleton a host of other relatives and friends.
A short service was held at Scottsbluff Friday morning with a service occurring at the Methodist church at Fairmont, Saturday afternoon. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery.
