Survivors include his beloved wife, Diana "Danny" Bailey Alexander; sisters, Frances (John) Lawson of Indianapolis, Mary (Don) Kau of Rockwood, TN; sister-in-law, Sharon Bailey Muncie; brother-in-law, Stanley (Nancy) Bailey; nephews, Phillip (Debra) Lawson, Randall (Teresa) Lawson, Jason Kau, and Bryan (Lori) Muncie, all from Indianapolis; nieces, Anita (Ron) Merryman, Brookline, NH, Lisa Anderson, Englewood, CO, Dana (Michael) Lile, Indianapolis, IN. In addition, David has 20 cousins, 7 great-nephews, 3 great nieces, 2 great-great nephews, and 1 great-great niece.
David was a member of the Rockwood Masonic Lodge #403, and until recent illness, was an active member of the Open Door Baptist Church. He lived at Crestwood Village West Apartments for many years where he established many friendships. We remember David for his gentle kindness and loving nature.
He and his wife were avid sports fans, especially baseball, the Indianapolis 500 race and the Brickyard 400 NASCAR race. David loved to take walks and never met a stranger; he loved people.
