ABRAHAM STAGGS JR
Abraham Staggs, Jr., 70, of Marshall died at 3:46 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2005, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
Born January 8, 1935, in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Abraham and Edith Lorene Sowers Staggs. His wife, Bonnie Louise Johnson Staggs, whom he married March 2, 1968 in Crawfordsville, survives.
He attended Waveland Schools and was a timber cutter for 25 years for Pierson-Hollowell Veneer Company and also farmed for 30 years. He was a member of Byron Christian Church.
Other survivors include two sons, Mike Staggs of Waveland and Tom Staggs of Marshall; two daughters, Sally LeJeune of Crawfordsville and Jennifer Link of Ladoga; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Joseph N. Staggs; and one sister, Major Lorene Staggs.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 8 at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland with Pastor Rodney Coffman officiating. Visitation will be today, Wednesday from 4 to l8 p.m. Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery just east of Marshall.
