Patriot, Thursday, March 30, 1911:
West Fairview, March 29 -- George Anderson died yesterday morning at the home of his son-in-law, Milton Smeutzer [sic], State road, West Fairview, of heart disease, aged seventy-two years. Mr. Anderson had been in his usual health until Monday forenoon when he began to complain of pain in the region of the heart and this morning at 9 o'clock died. He was an old soldier and fought during the war in Company D, 201 regiment, Pennsylvania volunteers. He leaves one brother, Edward Anderson of West Fairview, and five children, George H., Chester and Miss Alva, of Harrisburg; Mrs. Lilly Grove of Steelton, and Mrs. Milton Smeltzer, and a number of grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. Mark's Lutheran church, of West Fairview, and will be in charge of Rev. A. G. Wolf. Interment will be made in the Enola cemetery.
