A funeral service will be held on Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Abreu was born Nov. 3, 1921, in Havana, Cuba, son of Belen and Marcelena Ceballo Abreu. He was a retired tile setter and a member of the Tile Setters Union.
Surviving are his wife Esperanza Abreu; seven children Dalia Abreu and her husband Nick Pagani of Hagerstown, MD, Santiago Abreu, Jr. of Jessup, MD and his wife Phyllis Lightfoot, Ricardo Abreu of Union Bridge, MD and his wife Ann, Magali Marion of Front Royal and her husband James, Kelly Nichols of Jefferson, MD and her husband Steven, Gilbert Abreu of Cuba and Eduardo Abreu of Cuba; and seven grandchildren Stacy Nichols, Steven Nichols, Jr., Christina Marion, James Marion, III, Elizabeth Marion, Rachael Abreu, and Danica Abreu.
The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
