Funeral services for Jorge Lopez, 53, of Lubbock will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Overton Park Fellowship with Pastor Jeff McCreight officiating and Lloyd Hargrove assisting. Evening service will be on Friday, March 7, 2008 at 7 p.m. at Guajardo Funeral Chapels. Burial will be at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels. He died on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Carillon House. He was born May 28, 1954 in Lubbock, Texas.

He married Adela Ortega On May 15, 1985 in Lubbock.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lile Navarrete, one brother, Carlos Juarez and one sister, Mary Lopez.

He was loved by everyone. He was the greatest husband, dad and grandfather. We will miss him very much. He was a big joker. He always did for his family and friends and always there for his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Adela Lopez; four daughters, Vanessa Lopez, Roxanne Lopez, Alicia Ortega and Jessica Uvalles; one son, Javier Martinez; two brothers, Benito Juarez and Robert Juarez; one sister, Sylvia; 22 loving grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to Jorge Lopez memorial fund at First Convenience Bank.
