Grace L. Thompson

Grace L. Thompson, a Queen Anne resident for 48 years, died June 5 (1987) at the age of 73.

Mrs. Thompson worked for the Seattle Public Schools for 27 years. She started at Queen Anne Grade School in the lunchroom before becoming a manager there. She was later transferred to James Monroe Junior High School where she worked as a manager until retirement.

She was a member of the First Free Methodist Church, Seattlean Club, Sigma Rho and Women's Missionary Fellowship International.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Prosser, Washington on Aug. 27, 1913. She graduated from high school in Woodburn, Ore.

She married Chuck Thompson on June 20, 1937. The couple lived on Queen Anne all their married lives.

All three of their children are Queen Anne High School graduates.

She is survived by husband, Chuck; daughter Donna Thompson of Belle Plaine, IA; sons Dale C. Thompson of Seattle and Dick M. Thompson of Longview, Wash; sisters Agnes Fletcher, Tillamook, Ore., Martha Thun , Woodburn, Ore. and Doris Hughes, Seattle; brother Roy G. Arney, Woodburn, Ore. and four grandchildren.
