Leonard Arney was born February 1, and died February 1, 1929 in the family home at Hemlock, Tillamook County, Oregon. Leonard was the eleventh (11th) child born to Clarence Marion Arney and Hilga Augusta (Johnson) Arney. Leonard was the last child born into the family.

He was possibly stillborn and termed a "blue baby" by family in attendance during his birth.

Leonard is buried at the Odd Fellows Cemetery just outside of Tillamook, Oregon.

The cemetery authority does not know the exact location of his burial.
