Chalmers Riley

Funeral for Chalmers G. Riley, 58, of Athens, will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Service Funeral Home with Ralph Stout officiating.

Burial will be in Moss Chapel Cemetery in Hartselle with Brown Service Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Mr. Riley died Tuesday at his home in Athens. He was a longtime resident of Decatur, a graduate of Auburn University, and U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War with a National Guard unit from Decatur. He was an engineer and worked 25 years at Redstone Arsenal. He was a member of Grant Street Church of Christ.

Mr. Riley is survived by two sons, Jimmy Duke Riley and Rick Riley, both of Decatur; one daughter, Cathy Sengstacke of Decatur; and one brother, Charles Riley of Decatur.

Pallbearers will include Charles Jones, J.O. Colvert, Mike Riley, Alvie Little, Gene Lentz and Albert Brewer.
