Robert Edmond McCluskey married Martha Inez Lamons in 1926 at Graham, Texas. The couple lived in South Bend until 1949 when they moved to Stinnett with her family.

She was editor of the Hutchinson County Herald. Mrs. McCluskey was active in church and civil work. She helped organize the Chamber of Commerce and was the secretary. She was active in affairs of the First Baptist Church teaching a Sunday School class. Mrs. McCluskey was active in the Parent - Teacher Association

Survived by her husband; her daughters - Alice McCluskey, Mrs. Bert Mann, Mrs. Don Wilkes; one son - Robert E. McCluskey, Jr.; her mother - Mrs. S.M. Lamons; six sisters - Mrs. S. E. Johnson, Mrs. S.E. Jackson, Mrs. Hardy Matzinger, Mrs. Carl Erickson, Mrs. P.B. Beaves, Mrs. Joe E. Cox.

Rev. Dallas Lee, pastor of First Baptist Church in Graham officiated the services assisted by Rev. Laverett, Baptist pastor at Stinnett.
