He was born October 12, 1983, in Charlottesville.
Daniel was a supervisor for Hearth Wood Apartments in Charlottesville. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing softball, shooting pool and playing in many tournaments. He spent Friday and Saturday nights hanging out with his 29 Crew and they will miss him. His life was cut short, but Daniel lived it to the fullest with his family and friends, whom dearly loved him.
He is survived by his grandmother, Gladys Stephens; parents, Tommy Shifflett and Debra Turner; his wife, Sammy Stephens; two sons, Colton Stephens and Caleb Stephens; three brothers, Jermey Stephens, Zach Stephens and Melvin Shifflett Jr.; three sisters, Connie Dudley, Beverley Lawhorn and Carrie Wilson; a special nephew, Dusty Shifflett; a special uncle and aunt, Junior and Sandra Morris; special cousin, Joey Morris; and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Madison, conducted by Pastor Glenn Shifflett.
The interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Charlottesville.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, June 15, 2010, at the funeral home.
