By 1910, she was living with her husband and children in a house they were renting in Woodbine, Georgia (Camden County). The household included: Alonzo Hicks, age 40, born in Georgia of Georgia parents, married once for eight years, works turpentine, chips; Lizzie, age 24, born in Georgia of Georgia parents, married once for eight years, four children: Lottie B., 1 1/12, born in Georgia; Dolphus, age 9, born in Georgia; Alonzo Jr., age 6, born in Georgia; and Rufus, age 4, born in Georgia.

In 1920, she was living with her children in a home they owned in District 31, Camden County, Georgia. The household included: Lizzie Hicks, age 35, married; Dolpheus, age 17, laborer in a lumber mill; Rufus, age 14; Lattie Bell, age 11; Edith, age 6; and Tompsey, age 11/12.
