Lula Mae Kerr died of diabetes mellitus at Heritage Gardens Convalescent Hospitals in Loma Linda. She was a native of Grove, Oklahoma and lived in Loma Linda for a year. She was a homemaker for 66 year and is survived by her four brothers, James Alfred Gilbert II of Oklahoma, Jessie Lloyd "John" Gilbert of Rialto, CA, Warren Gamaliel Gilbert of Bonsall, CA, and Jack Gilbert of Garden Grove, CA. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. at Dickey Mortuary in Fontana, CA, with a private burial at Montecito Memorial Park.

Lula Mae Gilbert was the seventh of fifteen children born to James Alfred Gilbert (1884 KY - 1935 OK) and Alice Marie Layton (1885 MO - 1928 OK). She and Robert "Bud" Kerr had no children of their own, but were beloved by all in their large extended family.
