Greenfield - Melvin Marcus Berry, 86, of 290 Davis St., died Monday morning at his home. Born Sutton, Vt., son of Marcus M and Lydia (Switzer) Berry; had been a resident here for 50 years; employed by Greenfield Dairy for several years and before that as a car repairman by Boston and Maine Railroad; leaves a son Leo of Wilmington, Vt., a daughter Mrs Beatrice Rehmburg of Somers, Conn., a half-sister Mrs Lottie Butterfield of Springfield, Vt., four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; funeral at McCarthy funeral home, burial in Center cemetery Ashfield.
