Owing to delayed mails last week the following obituary did not reach the correspondent until too late for last week's issue:
The recent death of Mrs. John H. Connell came as a great shock to her many friends. while she had been in poor health extending over a period of several years she had been able to be up and about until about a week before her death. Mrs. Connell had lived a long and useful life and was loved by all who knew her. She was ever kind and helpful and her memory will be cherished, especially by the large family circle. During the summer she had spent much time at her son's and his family on the Nashoba farm and had recently come for the winter, having sold her farm on the Beaver Brook road.
The deceased is survived by her husband; seven sons, John, Charles, Daniel, Frank, Edward, Joseph and Harold; three daughters, Mrs. Foley and Mrs. Brown, of Littleton, and Miss Delia Connell, who teaches school in Tewksbury, and eighteen grand-children.
The funeral services were largely attended and there were many beautiful floral tributes
