JON D. SCHENCK, 51 ROCKFORD - Jon D. Schenck, 51, of Rockford died at 3:05 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010, in his home. Born Sept. 22, 1958, in Plainfield, N.J., the son of George and Barbara (Marencik) Schenck. Married Susan K. Johnson; she died July 30, 2009, in Rockford. He worked for Gates Rubber for many years as a machinist. Jon was an avid sports fan. Survived by brother, George (Carol) Schenck; mother-in-law, Margaret Johnson; sister-in-law, Barb (Ron) Herbig; brothers-in-law, Rick (Donna) Johnson and Bob (Rayean) Johnson; nieces and nephews, Amy, David, Jay, Brian, Ben, Geoff, Andrew, Jason and Randy; and his dog, Chuckie. Predeceased by his parents. Private graveside service Thursday, June 24, in Arlington Cemetery, with the Rev. Dean Parker officiating.
