Carnettie Robinson Arbuckle, 95, of Cleveland, TN went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, June 19, 2010.

Mrs. Arbuckle has been a resident of Bradley Healthcare and Rehab for the past six years. She served the Lord as a pastor's wife for 52 years, sewing, cooking and caring for her family and others throughout Cleveland and the Middle Tennessee area. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was greatly loved by her whole family. Mrs. Arbuckle was a Sunday School teacher, active in many mission organizations and prayer groups. She also participated in numerous community service projects. In her later years, one of her favorite activities was singing with the Celebration Singers at Westwood Baptist Church. She was a member of Stuart Park Baptist Church at the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Remus and Myrtle Dunn Robinson; three brothers, Truman Robinson, Harley Robinson and Crawford Robinson; husband, Reverend Marion Leonard Arbuckle, Sr.; one granddaughter, Sherry Maranita George and one great granddaughter, Raina Diane Miller.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Reverend Marion and Glenda Arbuckle of Beaufort, SC; daughters and sons-in-law: Jean and Elvis Brandon of Cleveland, TN, Linda and William George, Sue and Douglas Newberry all of Antioch; grandchildren: Elvis and Lori Brandon of Old Hickory, Susan and Randy Smith of Ooltewah, TN, Jennifer and Wade Sacca of Cleveland, TN, Renee and Jim Tanner of Smyrna, Rick and Janie Newberry of Seminole, FL, Kristi and Kevin Holzimmer of Montgomery, AL, Natalie and Allen Thompson of Murfreesboro, Julie and Kyle Riddle of Louisville, KY and Ryan Arbuckle of Beaufort, SC; eighteen great grandchildren: Cody and Noah Brandon; Alexandria, Jake, Ben and Luke Smith; Matthew, Cole and Sydney Sacca; Kayla and Kristin Jackson; Caleb and Benjamin Newberry; Eli, Anna and James Riddle; Henry and Aalina Holzimmer; brother, Dewey B. Robinson of Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Robbie Lee Oglesby of Mt. Juliet and several nieces and nephews.

A home going celebration will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Ron Sorah and Reverend Marion L. Arbuckle, Jr. officiating.

Interment will be at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Elvis Brandon IV, Randy Smith, Wade Sacca, Ryan Arbuckle, Kyle Riddle, Matt Sacca, Cody Brandon, and Noah Brandon serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2010 at the funeral home.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 7625 Hamilton Park Drive Suite 8, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
