Larry King, 55, of Bronson died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at a Sioux City hospital following a sudden illness. Services were held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Moville, Iowa, with Monsignor Roger J. Augustine officiating. Burial was made at a later date in Anthon, Iowa. Arrangements were under the direction of McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville. Mr. King was born March 16, 1944, in Sioux City, the son of Joe Arthur and Hazel Loretta (Sankey) King. He attended school in Bronson and graduated from Bronson High School in 1962. He served in the U.S Army with the 133rd Infantry from 1962 to 1969. He married Diane Hanson April 24, 1965, in Sioux City. He was employed with King Trucking and then owned and operated King's Locker in Lawton, Iowa. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served as Bronson town marshal for a few years and on the Lawton and Bronson Fire and Rescue teams. Survivors include his wife; his mother of Sioux City; a daughter, Kim King of Bronson; a son, Rob of Bronson; a brother, Joe of Bronson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant son, Tommy. Pallbearers were Ray Svenson, Loren Walker, Lenny Robinson, Gale Pullen, Ron Ronfelt, Barry Thomas, Chuck Hayes and Ralph Johnson.
Larry was born to Joseph Arthur "Joe" King and the former Hazel Loretta Sankey.

Diane was born Oct. 29, 1947 in Sioux City, Iowa. Larry died on April 24, 1999 in Sioux City, Iowa after an apparent heart attack at his home at Bronson, Iowa. He was 55 years old. Larry is buried at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery rural Anthon, Iowa. Two children were born in this union.
