Funeral services for Bennie T. Dahl, 77, rural Bagley, died at the Bagley Hospital June 1, were held at Congregational Church in Bagley Tuesday at 3 p.m. Rev. Burrell Bentz officiated with burial in the Bagley Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home. Military rites were by Irvin Blix Post No. 16 of Bagley.
Born at McIntosh December 23, 1895, Mr. Dahl moved with his parents, John and Martha Dahl to Wilton as a baby and as a child to Brocks, North Dakota, where he grew up. He was married to Elizabeth Gurley at Langdo, North Dakota December, 1919 and they moved to Bagley in 1929 where they lived since. Mr. Dahl was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving besides his widow are four daughters, Mrs. Louis (Mary) Herman, Mrs. Alvin (Betty) Harmon of Bagley, Mrs. Lloyd (Isabella) Lein of Worthington and Mrs. Wayne (Donna) Oslund, Swabville; three sons, Earl, John, and Bennie Jr. of Bagley; 22 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Otto of Hampton, North Dakota, and a sister, Miss Eva Dahl, Bagley, He was predeceased by a son, his parents for brothers and a sister.
