Albert Logan, 65, Is Taken by Death
Funeral services for Albert "Allie" Logan, 65, Charlos Heights, who died Saturday night following a long illness, were held Tuesday morning in St. Francis Catholic church, the Rev, Father M. J. Donohue officiating. He was taken to the hospital April 13. Death was attributed to a complication of illnesses. Interment was in Riverview cemetery.
He was born January 9, 1877, at Pleasanton, Kan., and came to the Bitter Root from the Deer Lodge valley in 1888. Previously the family had lived in Anaconda and the Deer Lodge area for about two years.
In the early days he was a trapper and logger and in 1914 moved to the Libby area where he followed farming. He left the Libby district about 1928, spending about two years near Rochester, Minn., and in Canada. Since returning to the valley in 1930 he has followed farming.
Survivors include the widow, Effie; step-sons, Francis Frost, Hamilton, and John Frost, Seattle, Wash.; step-mother, Mrs. John F. Logan; half-sisters and brothers, Mrs. William Strange and George Logan, Hamilton; Mrs. Elmer Stainer, Corvallis; Mrs. Marie Osburn, Glenn L. Logan, Portland, Ore.; Chester J. Logan, Medford, Ore.; Mrs. Fred Cox, Butte; Mrs. Boyd Oliver, Eureka, Calif.; Clarence B. Logan, Missoula.
