REDMOND -Vera Strange Anderson, 86, died November 10, 1989 in a Richfield care center.

Born March 13, 1903 in Salina, daughter of Jack and Agnes Hansen Strange. Married Murrel Andrew Anderson March 20, 1920 in Richfield; solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple; he died April 5, 1951. Active member LDS Church. Very active in local civic affairs. She served as Redmond Town Recorder for 18 years. She was a very loving person and her first love was children.

Survived by children, Jay Otheilo and Lois Anderson, West Valley City; Jackie Andrew and Bonnie Anderson, Salt Lake City; Marvell Strange and Darlene Anderson, Redmond; Shanna Rae and Leon M. Jensen, Vail, Colo.; 19 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son Robert Murrel Anderson; daughter Maxine Lee Thomas; and grandson Lane Jensen.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 14, 12 noon in the Redmond LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call for viewing Monday, 6-8 p.m. at the Springer Turner Mortuary in Salina, and Tuesday morning 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Redmond ward chapel. Burial Redmond Cemetery.
