June Trulock, 88, of Taylorville died at 5:30 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2010, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Trulock was born October 15, 1921 in Lagrange Township, Bond County, the daughter of Chester and Edythe (Bryson) Bare. She married Henry T. Short on September 23, 1949 in Taylorville. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1956. She then married Paul Eldon Poor Sr. on November 11, 1960 in Taylorville. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1982. She later married Ivan C. Trulock on March 25, 1983 in Taylorville. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2006. Mrs. Trulock was a 1940 graduate of Greenville High School in Greenville, and a 1941 graduate of Central Illinois Beauty School in Alton. She was a member of Taylorville Christian Church and the Navy Mothers Club of America.

Surviving are three sons, John Dennis (wife, Nancy) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Gary Michael (wife, Rebecca) of Springfield and Floyd (wife, Jill) Short of Taylorville; two daughters, Linda (husband, Roger) Jones of Taylorville and Judy (husband, Marlowe) Schlegel of Columbia, Missouri; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and one nephew, Thomas (wife, Pam) Harrison of Dixon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Thomas Fishel; five step-sons, Richard Short, William Short, David Short, Paul “Sandy” Poor Jr. and Gary Trulock; four step-daughters, Carole Perdue, Ginger Wurl, Lee Ann Nation and Shirley Corzine; and one sister, Maryellen Harrison.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2010, at Sutton Memorial Home. Rev. Richard Wamsley officiated, with burial following in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Troy Fishel, Kevin Fishel, Bradley Paisley, Patrick Hollensteiner, William Fishel, Cory Schlegel and Nathan Short.
