ROCKWALL COUNTY — A warrant has been issued for a man suspected of driving a pickup truck that left the scene of a three-vehicle fatal accident in Rockwall County on May 5.

Lt. David Davis of the Rockwall County Sheriff's Office said the warrant has been issued for Fernando Vasquez Munos, 37, of Grand Prairie.

Kenton William Klutts, 49, was killed and four others injured in the accident, which occurred at the Texas 276-Sunny Circle intersection.

Davis said the suspect's vehicle was recovered the next day on U.S. 80 in Kaufman County. The vehicle — a Ford F-150 pickup truck — was occupied by two men when it was stopped by officers. The men said Munos, their friend, had asked them to drive the truck to a body shop in Dallas. The men were not arrested.

Davis said officers believe Munos' vehicle caused the accident when his truck rammed into the back of a Toyota Yaris driven by Klutts.

Klutts was eastbound and had slowed to make a turn north onto Sunny Circle when his vehicle was struck from behind and forced into oncoming westbound traffic, where the Yaris struck a Dodge minivan head-on.

Two adults and two children inside the minivan were transported to Baylor Hospital, where all were treated and released with the exception of the driver, who sustained a broken leg.

The pickup truck didn't stop at the scene and was last seen heading east on Texas 276.
