Frank Ward, well known restaurant man, died Friday, June 16, 1944, at 4:30 a.m. in his home in West Waynesburg following a lingering illness. He was born in Franklin Township Sept. 8, 1873, a son of the late Norton and Sophronia Muckle Ward.

He had been retired for the past 11 years and was a member of the Pilgrim's Holiness Church. On Oct. 10, 1895, he married Charity Rhome who survives with the following children: Bertha Ward, Mrs. Ralph (Pearl) Hoy and Russell Ward, of Washington, and Clyde Ward, of West Waynesburg. One sister, Mrs. Delmar (Flora) Pounds, Sycamore, and two brothers, Perry Ward and William Ward, of Washington, survive. Thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive,
