Mrs. Flora Ward (Ma) Pounds of Sycamore, wife of Delmar E. Pounds, died in her home at 1:30 a.m. Monday, July 30, 1951, following a lingering illness. She was 81.

A daughter of the late Norton and Sophrena Muckle Ward, she was born May 3, 1870 in Washington Township, where she resided all her life. Mrs. Pounds was a member of the Bates Fork Baptist Church and of the missinary society of that church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four daughters, Mrs. Clarence Braden of Sycamore, Mrs. Oscie Grove of Ambridge and Mrs. Alfred Brooks and Mrs. Emma Milliken, both of Washington; two sons, Sherman Pounds of Sycamore and Edward Pounds of Follansbee, W. Va.; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Perry and William Ward.

Two children are deceased.

POUNDS - Friends of Mrs. Flora Ward (Ma) Pounds of Sycamore, wife of Delmar E. Pounds, who died Monday, July 31, 1951, are being received at the Garrison Funeral Home, 325 East High street, Waynesburg, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, with the Rev. Ray Streets officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery.
