Former Davis resident Leona Stamps Barron, 98, was born Feb. 17, 1912, in Bromide to Brien and Ida (Mosley) Stamps and died June 27, 2010, in Denison, Texas.
She married Alford Jake Barron on July 26, 1933, in Lawton, and he preceded her in death Nov. 2, 2002. She taught home economics for 30 years at schools in Texas and Oklahoma.
Survivors include: her son, Brien Barron of Colbert; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Services were under the direction of Hale's Funeral Home of Davis.
