Mabel M. Shryock, 91, of Olney, died at 6:45 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2003, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney with Reverend Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney.

Mrs. Shryock was born on December 10, 1911, in Richland County, the daughter of John and Saloma (Oakes) Hahn.

She married Virgil J. Shryock on November 6, 1933. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1987.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney.

Mrs. Shryock is survived by four daughters, Shirley Kuenstler and her husband, Fred, of Olney, Beverly Clow and her husband, Henry, of Olney, Carole Wirth and her husband, Paul, of Olney, and Barbara Shryock and her husband, John Bush, of Washington; a sister, Isabella Nix, of Olney; six grandchildren, John Kuenstler and his wife, Jill, of Chicago, Kerry Kuenstler, of Phoenix, Ariz., Lucinda Wingert and her
husband, Douglas, of Olney, Bradley Clow and his wife, Sheree, of Mansfield, Alan Wirth, of Lexington Park, Md., and Kristina Wirth, of Baltimore, Md.; and seven great-grandchildren, Daisy and Luke Kuenstler, Justin Kuenstler and Falynn, Masyn, Shaylee and Lynsee Clow.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Marilyn, two grandsons, three brothers and three sisters.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph School Foundation Trust or American Heart Association.
