Death of Mrs Ellen S Smith
Mrs Ellen S Smith, 69, widow of William D Smith, died yesterday morning at the Boston city hospital, where she had been taken after sustaining a fracture of the hip at the home of her nephew, William Bucknam, in Melrose three weeks ago. Mrs Smith had gone to Melrose to attend the funeral of her brother, George Bucknam. Mrs. Smith was born in Northampton at the house on Cherry street, which was her home at the time of her death and had spent her life in Northampton. She is survived by five children, Mrs John Richardson of Westfield, Henry M., Mary A., Robert S., and Mrs. Herbert E Walker of Northampton. The funeral arrangements are not yet made.
