Born Oct. 26, 1902, in Peoria to Charles and Elizabeth Mear Hanley, she married John Heppe on Oct. 28, 1920, in Peoria. He died Nov. 29, 1986.
She also was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, four grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Donald of East Peoria and Edward of Springfield; five daughters, Mrs. Judson (Doris) Chubbuck of Le Roy, Mrs. Walter (Mary) Inskeep, Mrs. Clarence (Elizabeth) Griffin and Mrs. Jerry (Barbara) Layman, all of Peoria, and Mrs. Daniel (Roberta) Hinrichs of Port Charlotte, Fla.; 27 grandchildren; 43 great- grandchildren; one brother, Edward Hanley of Brimfield; and one sister, Rose Beckert of Peoria. She was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church in East Peoria. A member and past president of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 814, she was a past president of its district auxiliary.
Burial will be in Fondulac Township Cemetery in East Peoria.
