Susahhah, 92, wife of Irvin Simon Cope, called Simon. Shares a common stone with her Husband and daughters.

She died at the home of her daughter, Martha Luce. She had been ill about 10 days, She had fallen and dislocated her hip.

When she was 11, she moved, with her father, Philip, to Caledonia. She was married at age 17 to Simon Cope, who died several years ago. They had made their home in Oakfield. Simon manufactured pumps.

Also surviving are her daughters Rachel and Ellen, and 2 sons, Philip and Charles; 4 brothers, Peter, Benjamin, Joseph and Henry.; 2 sisters, Rachel and Mary; 18 grand- children, 22 great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and W.C.T.U.

She married Irvin Simon Cope in 1830 in Batavia, Genesee County, N.Y.

Her husband was a well-to-do pump maker.

She was the mother of 13 children:

Sarah, 1831. She married Henry Vader. They moved to Michigan and Sarah died in Caro, Tuscola Co. MI. (She is on Findagrave with more information)

David, 1833. In Racine, WI. He married Mary Emma Cornell (b.1833 Racine WI. -d.10-28-1854). David enlisted in the Union Army (from MI) and died in Civil War. They had 2 children Charles Burton Cope (1855 Racine, WI) and Frank Cope (1857)

Elizabeth, 1835. She married William Fidinger in Oakfield, Genesee Co. N.Y. William also fought in the Civil War. Discharged as a Corporal. They had 3 children;
Nellie, Arthur, and Mary Findinger.

Isaac, 1837. He married Josephine Hundredmark. They had 4 children: Frank, Belle, Maud, and Jay Cope.

Martha, 1839 married Sidney Wright and they had 2 children, who died within a week. She then married John Luse.

Philip, 1839. He married Ann Elizabeth Nash (self-educated) They had 6 children. Orville, Ida, William, winnie, Geeeeorge, & Pearl Cope.

Effie, 1841. She married John Lorish

Eli, 1843 died in Civil War

Mary, 1843. (called "dumb" and "idiot" in 1850 & 1869 census)

Rachel, 1847. married Levi Fisk She was a school teacher & an artist.

Charles, 1849. married Mary Fisk (185) both were teachers

Alice, 10-18-1851 married Lewis Hundredmark (1872 Ulda, NY) teacher

Ellen, 1-16-1855 a good artist.
