Mrs Elizabeth K Lowe, widow of the late Preston Lowe, of Lowell, died at the home of her brother-in-law, Mr John E Murdock, near Wikel, Aug 15, 1907, aged about 60 years. She was a daughter of the late David Pence of Hunters Springs, and a sister of Messrs John, Hugh and G W Pence, of this county. She is survived by two children - Mrs Howard Lively, of Meno, Okla, and Mr E P Lowe, of Alderson. The deceased was a very esteemed lady, a member of the Presbyterian Church, and her death brings sorrow a large number of friends. Her husband, it will be remembered, was accidentally drowned at Lowell some 30 years ago. Mrs Lowe's remains were interred in the old Pence graveyard on Indian creek at 11 o'clock last Saturday morning. - Monroe Watchman
