RESIDENT OF HANNAH DIES

MRS. JOHN STEINEBACH, 80, of Hannah, died Saturday morning in Munson Hospital following a lingering illness.

PHOEBE EBARE was born June 2, 1875, in New York and at the age of five years came with her parents, FELIX and ELIZABETH EBARE to Michigan and settled at Long Lake. In 1891 she was united in marriage to GEORGE YEOMANS of Kalamazoo and to this union were born three children. Mr. Yeomans preceded her in death.

On May 17, 1904, she was united in marriage to JOHN J. STEINEBACH of Hannah and to this union were born five children.

Mrs. Steinebach, with her husband, operated a store in Hannah for 30 years. She was a member of the St. Mary's church at Hannah.

Surviving are one daughter, MRS. FRANCIS KREISER of Buckley; two sons, WAYNE STEINEBACH of Kingsley and CLARENCE YEOMANS of Traverse City; one brother FRANK EBARE of Flint; one sister, MRS. MARTHA ANNISON of Middleville, Mich.; 26 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one adopted granddaughter, MRS. LYLE McMANUS of Kingsley.

Preceding her in death was one son, who died in infancy, and another son, GORDON YEOMANS, who died a soldier in France in World War I. In 1935, a daughter, LEONE, died. In 1947, JOHN JR.,and in 1953, LAWRENCE, died. MR. STEINEBACH passed away in 1948.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. from the St. Mary's church at Hannah. Rev. Fr. Clement Sigmund will officiate and interment will be made in the church cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited at the Smith Funeral Home in Kingsley Monday night at 8:00.
