Jane A. Bricker, 91, of Bellwood died Friday, July 2, 2010, at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. A full obituary will appear in Tuesday's Mirror.

Jane Arminta Bricker, 91, of Bellwood died Friday evening at Epworth Manor, Tyrone.

She was born in Bellwood, daughter of the late Joel and Martha A. (Pletcher) Bowers. She married Clarence J. Bricker on July 27, 1935, in Bellwood. He died July 13, 1963.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth W. and wife, Sue, of Penn Yan, N.Y.; a daughter, Doris G. Walker of Bellwood; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Hirsch of Montgomery, Mich; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Jean Borner; three brothers: Joel, Michael and Bobby; a sister, Catharine Hand; and son-in-law, Charles R. Walker.

Jane graduated from Altoona School of Commerce and worked as an accountant/bookkeeper at Puritan in Altoona and retired as a secretary/tax collector for Antis Township. Jane moved to Penn Yan, N.Y., in 1974 where she then retired as an accountant/bookkeeper at Seneca Flight Operations in 1984. She returned to Bellwood in July 1996.

She attended the Bluff Point Methodist Church in New York and Logan's Valley Baptist Church in Bellwood. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's organization.

Jane enjoyed bowling, where she competed in league tournaments, winning numerous trophies. She also enjoyed playing cards with her many friends and crocheting and making afghans for her family.

Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Robert Coddington officiating.

Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
