Geneva Adams Henry departed this life for heaven at 3:15 AM, Friday, September 29, 2017 at Paris Regional Medical Center. She was born in Bokchito, Oklahoma, the daughter of John Thomas Ross and Myrtle Lucille Vandever.

Her family moved to Texas when she was a small child. She graduated from First Ward Elementary School, Paris High School and attended Paris Commercial College.

She married Harry L. Adams July 28, 1940 and after 51 years of marriage, he died in 1991. She married Hal. H. Henry in 1999, and he passed away in 2008. She retired from McClanahan and Holmes after 41 years of service. She loved the outdoors and was content in the yard working in her flower garden. She was a member of Home Gardeners Garden Club and Paris Council of Garden Clubs where she served as treasurer. She was the oldest living member of Ramseur Baptist Church where she became a member at the age of 16. In past years she had taught in the Youth Department and was a member of the Ramseur Choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Alice Wheat; six siblings, Frances Douglas, Jirldene Rogers, Robert Ross, Dennis Ross, Herman Ross, and John Harold Ross.

She is survived by a son, Rev. Eddie Adams and wife Judy of Bedford; one daughter Barbara Curdy of Dallas; a son-in-law Jerrel Wheat of Cooper; five grandchildren, Jeff Wheat and wife Laura of Shreveport, Kevin Adams and wife Cyndi of Grapevine, Julie Eastin and husband Tim of Denver, Susan Duncan and husband Matt of Denton, Kim Rogers and husband Brian of Waxahachie; one brother, Don Ross of Palm Springs, California; step-daughter, Janie Duke and husband Gary; two step-grandchildren, Kirk Duke and Jill Jameson and husband Derek; then great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services are set for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. Interment follows at Evergreen Cemetery.
