Funeral Services to Be Wednesday. Bert B. Abbott, 66 years old and a resident here many years, died in Schmitt Memorial hospital at 3 o'clock this morning.
The body was removed to the Cline Funeral home where funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Polland in charge.
Burial will be in the City cemetery.
Born in Rariton, Illinois, July 14, 1875, Mr. Abbott was a son of Charles and Delia Huff Abbott, and lived at 1301 East Fourteenth street. He owned several properties in this vicinity. The decedent formerly worked for the Burlington railroad and later at the Schultz Baujan mill.
He is survived by one sister,
Mrs. May Buchen of Decatur,
a brother, John Abbott of this city;
four nephews,
Ross Abbott of this city,
Elmer Abbott of DeKalb,
Waldo Buchen of Palestine, Texas,
and Ralph Buchen of Alton.
Mr. Abbott was never married.
