Dr. Quire served in hospital work during the Civil War. After his discharge, he came back to Fredericksburg, Ohio where he studied under Drs. Parson and Erwin. Dr. Quire came to Lynnville in 1867 and commenced the practice of medicine. He attended lectures at Rush Medical College in Chicago and graduated in the winter of 1870-71. Returned to Lynnville where he continued to practice until his death in 1912. He had two sons that also were doctors in Lynnville. Dr. Austin Flint Quire and Dr. Frank Edward Quire.
