Summary
On Tuesday, 22 Dec at Bethany, NE, William Rex Young of Murray and Miss Pearl Hinton of Mynard were married by the Rev. Ross Robb. There are no more popular young people than these two in Cass Co. and the news of their marriage will be received with great pleasure.
The bride is the nieces of Mrs. Joseph Adams and is of exceptional ability and charm of character. She was reared to womanhood in the vicinity of Mynard. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Young of the Murray vicinity and is one of the oldest families in the county. He has won for himself distinction among auctioneers of the county and bids fair to be at the head of his profession in this community in a very short time. He was elected this fall to road overseer for his district. The couple will make their home on the Joseph Adams farm at Mynard for the coming year.

Funeral services were held 9 Dec at Caldwell Funeral Home for Mrs. Rex (Pearle) Young, 75, who died 7 Dec at an Omaha hospital. Rev. J. W. Taenzler and Rev. Charles E Chandler officiated. Pallbearers were Albert, Claude, Francis, Jess, Ross, Willard Gochenour. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Boedeker, Ed McHugh, Dwight Clements, Calvin Carsten, Elmer Hallstrom, John Svoboda. Burial in Young Cemetery south of Plattsmouth.
She came with her family to Plattsmouth as a small child. At age 13 her parents died and she made her home with an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Adams of Mynard. On 22 Dec 1914 she married Rex Young of Murray. The farmed near Mynard, moving to a farm near Murray and in 1920 they moved to Plattsmouth. Their home always had an open door for relatives and friends. Mrs. Young was a member of the Murray Christian Church and Home Chapter No. 189, Order of Eastern Star.
Preceded in death were her parents; 1 brother, Harry Henton; 1 sister, Murel Henton. Survived by her husband; 1 brother, Fred Henton of Craig, NE; nieces, Mrs. Dave (Margaret) Toman of Plattsmouth and Mrs. Betty Doody of Seward; nephews, Oliver Henton of Plattsmouth, Dale Henton of Omaha and Harry Henton Jr of Wymore.
