Age 65. Came to Gloucester as pastor of the 4th Parish (East Chebacco) from Kittery, Maine in Oct, 1843. A 1739 graduate of Harvard, he was ordained on 1 Feb 1844. Due to loss of population during the Revolution, the parish faded away after his death, and the meeting house was razed in 1840. His 1st wife was Susannah Allen, married Oct. 16, 1744. 2d, he m. Miss Mary Ellery, Jan. 28,1748. She d. Feb. 1766. 3d he m. widow Abigail Woodward, April 2, 1770.
