Mrs. Butler was born on June 1, 1925, in Alexander City, Alabama to James Madison Ingram and Irma LaMerle Ingram. She worked at Avondale Mills for 45+ years in the Spooler Department. She was a big Alabama Football and Atlanta Braves fan. She loved to work crossword puzzles, reading, discussing politics and socializing with friends and family. She never failed to entertain us all with a great sense of humor. Her greatest loves however, were her God, church and family. Mrs. Butler was a member of Wayside Baptist Church, Alexander City, Alabama where she taught Sunday School, Bible School, sang in the choir, and was a member of WMU for many years. She was the best Mother, Mother–in-Law, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt. She was loved by all. Mrs. Butler was also a great cook.
She is survived by her daughters Barbara Vickers (Ronnie) of Alexander City, Kathi Blankenship (Rodney) of Montgomery Alabama, and Teresa Howell (Dave) of Alexander City, 8 grandchildren, and 10 greatgrand children, one sister, Gaye Holley (Donald) of Alexander City and one brother, Larry Ingram (Carolyn) of Alexander City. She has numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, S.C. Butler (Buddy), mother, father, brothers, Louie Ingram and Kenneth Ingram, sisters Jean Ingram, Juanita Barnes, and Allison Rapp.
The Family would like to say a special thanks to all of the staff at Chapman Healthcare Center, Dr. Sharma, Russell Medical Center, Southern Care Hospice and Radney Funeral Home, for their kindness and support.
