Mrs. Louise Caddess
Mrs. Louise Hambrick Caddess, 64, of Vaiden died Tuesday morning, December 18 at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Caddess was a native of Carroll County, a retired factory worker and a member of Vaiden Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Wilson Caddess and one sister, Mrs. Juanita Rhine of Vaiden.
Rev. W. M. Hull assisted by Rev. John A. Wade conducted services at Vaiden Baptist Church at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 20 with burial in Winona Gardens of Memory. Oliver Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were George Frank Carwile, James Collins, Billy Welch, Vernon Welch, Frank Stanton and Billy Bufkin.

Louise Hambrick Caddess was the wife of Wilson Monroe Caddess (06/18/1917 - 11/18/1997), sister of Juanita Hambrick Collins Rhine (10/12/1920 - 07/01/2002), Claude Hambrick and Harvey O'Neal Hambrick, and was the daughter of John Cleveland (04/23/1886 – 02/02/1951) and Exyah Lee Bond Hambrick (04/02/1884 – 01/07/1955), and Beloved Aunt of Ronnie Lee Collins. The Hambrick family, who were originally from Attala County, moved to Vaiden, MS in the early 1900s. The Hambrick children included: Harvey O. (07/04/1907 – 08/06/1928), Claude (10/15/1908 – 07/20/1915), Louise (03/02/1915 – 12/18/1979), and Juanita. John Cleveland Hambrick owned Hambrick's Blacksmith Shop on Vaiden's "Back" Street for many years. Exyah Lee Bond Hambrick was a homemaker.
On 01/06/1945, Louise married Wilson Monroe Caddess (06/18/1917 – 11/18/1997), who was originally from Doddsville, MS, but moved to Winona at an early age. Louise (Aunt "E") worked at the Chenille Plant, was a homemaker, active in community organizations, and kept children in Vaiden throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Louise and Wilson had no children. Louise was 64 years, 8 months, and 23 days old at her death.
After serving in the United States Army Civilian Conservation Corps and 840th Aviation Engineers, Wilson (Uncle "Oogie") owned Caddess' Radio and TV Repair Shop in Vaiden, and was the Fire Chief and Water Superintendent of Vaiden for over 40 years.
They were my second family, and were always there for me. I miss them dearly.
