Labana Jane Murphy, lovingly known as Mammy Jane, was the 2nd wife of Thomas P. "Beech Tom" Jarvis. They were parents of 15 children: Elizabeth Jane, Melissa C., Almira, Nathan J., Calvin James, Minnerva, Ida, Florence, Robert, Prusha, Newton, Etta, Metta Lou, Unnamed son, and Spencer "Doc".

DEATH CLAIMS AGED RESIDENT OF OKA
Labana Jane Jarvis, 90, widow of the late Thomas P. Jarvis, died at her home at Oka, Calhoun Co., late Thursday night, following an illness of the past two weeks.
Funeral rites were held from the residence Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock p.m. with the Rev. William State in charge, and burial made in the Jarvis Cemetery by the Vandale Mortuary.
Three sons and five daughters survive.
