Mrs. Henry Close Dead.
Mrs. Gertrude Close, wife of Henry Close, who resided south west of Buffalo, passed away on Tuesday of this week. She was born in Allen County, Penn., January 1, 1845 and was 69 years, 7 months and 12 days of age at the time of her death. She came to Kansas in 1869 where she had resided ever since. She had been in failing health for a long time, and death came as a relief from her suffering. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the home, conducted by Rev. J.R. Blackburn of Fredonia and interment made in the Maple Grove cemetery.
