Ozro is listed in Town of Moriah in 1890 Federal Census Veterans Schedules. Bassheba applied for a Widow's Pension # 698622 on 18 May 1899, so presumably Ozro died between '90 & '99, probably closer to '99.

Ozro had applied for an Invalid pension in 1867- Application #129537, Certificate 187723.

Per death certificate on file in the Moriah NY Town Clerk's Ofice, Bassheba Myrick, Widow, passed away on 30 August 1901. Curiously, there is no death certificate on file for Ozro.

Just to confuse things, article in the Ticonderoga (NY) Sentinel newspaper 13 May 1897 under the news from "Factoryville" - a 'suburb' of Crown Point, NY (next town South of Moriah) states: ""Ozro Merrick [sic]has had his house shingled - Ed Fisk did the work"". So looks like Ozro was still alive in 1897 (There CAN'T have been two "Ozro Myrick's" in Essex County)& may have died in the Town of Crown Point; you might try contacting the Crown Point Town Clerk & see if death certificate on file. He had passed on by the time of Bassheba's death in 1901.

1900 Census Bassheba [as "Bashaba"]is living back in Moriah in household of George Perkins, listed as her Son-In-Law.
