Elmer Keller, 85, of Shelbyville, died at 9:48 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2007 in Shelbyville Manor.

Private family graveside services will be held Wednesday in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to Shelby Christian Church or American Cancer Society.

Mr. Keller was born on March 22, 1922 in Watson, Illinois, the son of Arthur and Allie Askins Keller. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Navy. Elmer was a tool and die maker and a member of Construction Workers Local #740 of Decatur. He married Lois June Robinson on June 28, 1946.

Surviving are his wife, June; daughter, Jody Zobrist and husband Danny of Pocahontas, Illinois; brother, Floyd Keller and wife Esma of Orlando, Florida; granddaughter, Amy Lynne Lutz of Shelbyville; and two great grandsons, Casey Scott Williamson and Clay Elmer Lutz.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
