Christina contracted Tuberculosis as a young girl. She lived with her family in Dahlgren Township, Carver, Minnesota. At the age of twenty-five she was brought to St. Peter State Hospital where she remained for twenty-five years. In 1906 she was transfered to the Anoka State Asylum for the Insane, where she died shortly after arrival at the age of 47. She is buried alone in the hospital's cemetery in grave #28.
