Edith was born at Lacamas Prairie and attended grade school at Lacamas Prairie School. She graduated from Toledo High School in 1923. She then attended Ellensburg Normal School (now Eastern Washington College.) and graduated in 1925 with a degree in education.
She was a teacher in Meritte, MT, Aberdeen, WA and Leavenworth, WA. She continued to take summer school and received her B. A. in Education from Ellensburg.
Edith lived with and took care of her mother, Rhoda until Rhoda's death in 1963. She then retired from teaching and moved to Moses Lake, WA to be near her brothers, Harvey and George.
She was a member of the Washington Retired Teaches Association.
Edith died in Spokane, WA on December 31, 1980 and buried in Winlock Cemetery in the Allison Masonic Plot.
