RALLS (Special) — Services for Mary Velma Stone, 81, of Ralls will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Cone Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stone died at 3:30 a.m. Monday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after an illness.
She was born in Hale County and was a Crosby County resident for the past 50 years. She married Roddie Baccus Stone April 10, 1929, in Wheeler. He died May 10, 1959. A daughter, Velma Cotter, Died in 1983. She was a housewife and a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include six sons, John E. of Lubbock, Jimmy of Silverton, Elmer of San Angelo, Henry of Brownfield, Jess of Plainview and Roy of Hale Center; four daughters, Senia Roller of Blountville, TN, Lura Myers of Dallas, Morine Stillahn of Omaha, NE, and Roddie Lee Starkey of Ralls; two brothers, Jesse Drake of Littlefield and Ray Drake of Artesia, NM; five sisters, Eva McNeeley of Ralls, Lee Dewbre of Lubbock, Georgia Phillips of Slaton, Cordelia Wallace of Artesia, NM, and Martha Maxcine of Fort Worth; 24 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
